The portable coolant has different stages of comfort for customers with different needs. The Soleus SG-PAC-08E4 offers evaporative air conditioning of 8,000 BTU which is more than enough for a freezing night experience. You probably would want to take one extra blanket with this air coolant.  In those warm humid days, the coolant is a true saviour as it features 29-pint evaporative dehumidifier. The coolant works like magic in humid days, keeping your place fresh and cool. For those who prefer fan over evaporative air conditioning, will be happy to know that the coolant features a two-speed fan, which means you can adjust the fan speed according to your comfort level.

Design and Architecture

The designers have put a lot of time and effort into this machine and it shows pretty well.  The SG-PAC-08E4 is a portable air conditioner, is the smallest of its kind and is very easily placed. Because of its smaller size, the coolant can be installed in any part of the house. This small-sized air conditioner is well complimented by power of 8,000 BTU’s. For larger window houses, the SG-PAC-08E4 sports a window kit to fit perfectly into it.  It vents the humid air outside by the integrated hose. The venting is also possible with open ceilings and attics. As explained before it is very easy to handle unless you need to shift the air conditioner to another window, which would require you to handle the window kit as well. This looks a lot of work, but is surely worth it.

The SG-PAC-08E4 is designed in a way that it absorbs and evaporates the humid air in its own cabinet. This means that you are not disturbing the elements in your attic or ceiling by pushing humidity in there. The air conditioner filters are completely washable and if you show some extra care to them, they will keep their beauty up. You can reach them from the back portion of the coolant. On the grounds of energy efficiency it is rated to be 8.5, which is actually very good in case of portable air conditioners. It looks very eco-friendly and doesn’t give out a lot of CFC to do any harm to the nature.

The Features that I liked

I bought this air conditioner for my 350 square feet house and I must say it works like magic. I have tried many other air conditioners but I still prefer using this coolant for my bedroom. I would suggest this coolant to those who are good to pay a considerable small amount in exchange of a smart air conditioner.

ü  The first thing that attracted my attention towards this machine was its size. It is one of the smallest portable air conditioners I have ever seen.

ü  It is fairly easy to install and you can do it by yourself too. There is no hard mechanics involved and is light enough to handle.

ü  Because of its small size and elegant design, it gives your facility a classy look. I have it in white colour and it looks fantastic.

ü  It takes less than 25 minutes for this coolant to cool the room temperature as per your comfort.

ü  The coolant saves electricity and puts a cap on your electricity bills. It saves your wallet.

ü  The feature of controlling the fan speed is something that I liked the most. You can easily shift the gears of fan from your bed.

ü  You can easily wash the filters from the back side of the air conditioner.

ü  The coolant sports wide louvers, which you can adjust for directing the flow of air when running it on fan mode.

ü  I would say at such a small price, you can’t get anything better than this.

Things that I didn’t like about it

However there are not much things that you won’t like about this amazingly small air conditioner.

v  The SG-PAC-08E4 is very noisy compared to other portable air conditioners. When running on the fan mode, you would feel like you are being bombarded.

v  Deep sleepers can install this coolant in their bedroom; otherwise it’s better to keep it in the living room.

v  It 55 dBA noise level is surely not good for your sleep.

v  Because of its single hose design the air conditioner fill the room with negative airflow. If you pay some extra attention you might also hear the hissing sound from the gaps in doors and windows.

v  The SG-PAC-08E4 has a 9.5 gallon bucket. In warm and humid conditions the bucket will get full in small time span and you will have to take care of it.

Conclusion

The SG-PAC-08E4 is a perfect air conditioner for those who give more stress on better cooling features. The coolant is very energy efficient and keeps the electricity bills down. The small size of the coolant makes it easy to install. The air conditioner is more on the noisy side, so you can install it in your living room, and in no time, it will cool down the room temperature.  The one year warranty is good enough to assure the sturdiness of the machine. On the price like that, this small cooling machine is the best one can get.
